FREQUENTLY
ASKED QUESTIONS: Here are some of the questions that people ask me when considering the program: Q: "Won't I just go crazy and eat everything in sight?" A: If you were holding a pendulum far to one side, and let it go, it would swing wildly to the other side before eventually coming into its normal swing according to gravity. Just as you have been artificially holding yourself back from eating the foods you love and crave, you will eat more of the kinds of foods which were formerly "forbidden" to you. And eventually, when you know you can have whatever you want, you won't eat as much. Q: "Will I lose weight on this program?" A: By becoming aware of how you may be "using" food to solve problems in your life, and by re-connecting with your natural feelings of hunger and satisfaction, you will begin to eat less. You will easily and naturally lose weight and have the body you want. Q: "I know I'm allergic to some foods... what if I eat them and have a reaction?" A: Take responsibility for your choices. If you know beforehand you will have a reaction, decide in advance what you want to feel more, the food in your mouth and stomach, and the reaction in your body. If you want to experience more well being, your choice might be to forego the food. Q: "Do I have to eat special foods?" A: Loving Your Self Thin is not a dietary program. You eat the foods you love, and those foods no longer hold any forbidden quality. When you know you can have a food, you no longer obsess about it. There are no certain foods you must eat, and no foods you CAN'T eat. You are the one who decides. The focus is on you and your awareness of food, not what you can and can't eat. Q: "How can this program possibly work?" A:
LYT
is a way to heal the underlying feelings and emotions which cause overeating
and overweight. Once these negative feelings are resolved, you no longer
have to use food to suppress the uncomfortable feelings, or distract
yourself from addressing the issues in your life you may have been using
food to avoid.
